With several bars and lounges offering signature drinks, you could always find a seat for a pre-dinner drink.

The stunning Manhattan Dining Room is where you can savor delicious five-course dinners, including continental choices, spa cuisine and items from an extensive vegetarian and vegan menu. If you choose to dine in elegance, the beautiful Pinnacle Grill offers superb cuisine with luxurious appointments, such as Bvlgari china and Riedel stemware. Family-style dining is offered at Canaletto Italian restaurant and the casual Lido Restaurant offers fabulous cooked-to-order specialties.
This track circles the entire ship and was a frequent spot for morning or afternoon walks. Only one of these pools, the aft-located Sea View pool, is an outdoor pool. During our trip, there were no loungers setup near this pool though.
There are nine bars on the ship, many with a signature drink menu. Perhaps the best specialty dining deal is the Italian restaurant Canaletto’s. This specialty restaurant delivered an upscale meal well worth the cover charge. So, while we didn’t get a good representation of the main dining room, we got a complete experience of the specialty dining on Holland America Line.

The biggest downsides of the ship were related to the number of people onboard compared to the size of the public spaces. For example, it was often very difficult to find pool chairs at either the main or the aft pools and waiting in line for meals or popular events was very much the norm. If peace and quiet is what you're seeking, the key is to find spaces of solitude wherever you can.
